Finally after 4 years, you can play it in your browser
Another game I didn't go through with making a playable web version at the time. I am not sure why, I am usally impatient to move on..
I usually prefer textless games because I am too shy to share my thoughts in a way that is too direct.
But for this one I made an exception, I wanted to try, without pressuring myself too much anyway, because it was made in the copntext of an internship at my friend Thomas Waterzooie's during a short time period.
There is 3 conversations that ends the same way. A cool exercise to try to bend and direct whatever is being said toward the same "conclusion" sort of.
I went into speculative storytelling, it is up to the player to guess which epoch we are in, and I am trying to describe it in between the lines of what they say to each other. Or just direclty through the characters.
Also I had this concept in mind of a playable podcast kind of. You do playful stuff that are relaxing while listening to people sharing their thoughts. Would be indeed better if it was vocally narrated instead of text to read in this case :(
It was made 5 years ago almost, so some speculations would be very different if I had to write it today.
Also my english is slightly better maybe. I won't fix it. It is just the way it was and it is fine I guess.
Anw is short and my cousin's music is really relaxing. Please give a try and share your thoughts :)
I still like the style I went for, chinese ink painting of mountains. Also the black and white makes it easier to blend everything together.
One day, when I will be at peace again and retired I will take the time to paint a game with mountains, waterfalls, streams and little peoples drinking teas in between the trees, temples and shrines. ( there will be monkeys and birds too !)
Tchuss !
